Driving Change in One of the World’s Most Diverse Nations

Canada’s vibrant multiculturalism and abundant natural resources make it a unique landscape for impactful initiatives. While the nation enjoys relative stability and economic prosperity, challenges such as indigenous rights, environmental conservation, and equitable social policies persist. The Global Monitoring Center (GMC) partners with communities, governments, and NGOs to address these challenges, ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth for all Canadians

Key Focus Areas in Canada

Indigenous Rights and Reconciliation

GMC collaborates with indigenous communities across Canada to protect their rights, preserve their cultures, and promote reconciliation through meaningful initiatives. From land rights advocacy to healthcare access and education programs, we aim to address historical injustices and foster long-term healing.

Our programs have reached over 30 indigenous communities, supporting them in safeguarding over 50,000 hectares of ancestral land.

Climate Action and Conservation

As stewards of vast natural ecosystems, Canada plays a pivotal role in global climate action. GMC works to combat deforestation, promote renewable energy adoption, and protect critical habitats like the Boreal Forest. We also engage local communities in sustainable practices, ensuring their livelihoods align with ecological preservation.

Through these efforts, GMC has facilitated the conservation of over 25,000 hectares of forestland and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by promoting solar energy projects.

Social Justice and Community Empowerment

GMC addresses issues like income inequality, affordable housing, and access to quality healthcare. Through capacity-building initiatives, we empower marginalized communities to advocate for equitable social policies, fostering inclusivity and resilience in Canadian society.

Our social justice programs have reached 15 underserved urban areas, improving access to essential services for over 100,000 individuals.
